We founded Care+ Pediatrics Urgent Care, your premier pediatric urgent care clinic located in the heart of Oklahoma City, in 2022. Care+ is one of only a few independent pediatric urgent care clinics in the area, giving us more flexibility in approach to and pricing of your care.
Care+ Pediatrics Urgent Care’s main focus is ensuring your children are comfortable during their visit. Every aspect of our office – from our décor to our staff – is curated to make a trip to the doctor’s a pleasant experience. Our pediatric providers take the time and care to make sure your child isn’t scared about receiving their treatment.
Meet Justin Pespisa, MD
Dr. Justin Pespisa grew up in the suburbs of Boston and attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He then moved to Nashville, where he completed his pediatrics residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Following residency, he worked as an attending physician at the pediatric emergency department in the Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. There, he realized the need for high-quality pediatric urgent care centers. In 2022, he moved to Oklahoma City to open Care+ Pediatrics Urgent Care.
Meet Ami Whitley, PNP
Ami Whitley is a pediatric nurse practitioner from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of South Alabama. Prior to becoming a provider at Care+, Ami provided care for pediatric patients at Oklahoma Children's Hospital for nearly 10 years. She treated children in the emergency department and on the medical/surgical floors. She is a strong advocate for parents and the children of Oklahoma.
Meet Chelsea Renbarger, DNP
Chelsea is a dedicated healthcare professional from Lexington, OK, with a strong focus on pediatric care. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Baylor University and completed specialized training in Pediatric Acute Care at Vanderbilt University.
Chelsea has a wealth of experience, having worked as an RN at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital for eight years. During this time, she developed deep passion for helping young patients. She served as a Nurse Practitioner on the Pediatric Pain Management Team for two years, where she worked to improve the comfort and well-being of children in pain.
Known best for her compassionate care and collaborative approach, Chelsea is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families through expert, empathetic healthcare.
Meet Nidhi Desai, FNP
Nidhi is a nurse practitioner from Edmond, Oklahoma who earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Exercise Science as well as Nursing from University of Oklahoma. She graduated with her Master’s of Nursing degree in 2022. Prior to joining our team, Nidhi worked as a Neonatal ICU RN at Integris Baptist Medical Center, Children’s Hospital LA, and Ose Adams Sacramento where she took care of premature babies, critically-ill newborns and infants for 6 years. As a member of Care+ Pediatrics, Nidhi is committed to give back to our community by providing compassionate, family-centered, and evidence-based care.
